Entering the English language in the late 19th century, the word safari means "long journey" in Swahili.

Ku Tunza Travel owns a 22 seater Mercedes Overland Truck which comes completely kitted out with all the equipment you will need, including crew. This is the vehicle we use on both our scheduled adventure camping safaris and private group tours which are guided and led by Chris Higginson.

We originally shipped the 12 tonne Merc from Tilbury in England to the port of Mombassa in Kenya and drove it up to Uganda. The size, strength and reliability of this vehicle has been proven time and again on the African continent.

Scheduled Adventure Safaris

Our Uganda scheduled adventure camping safaris focus on good quality packages that are excellent value for money. Catering for individuals, families, volunteers and students these exciting scheduled safaris visit three of Uganda's most famous National Parks - Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth and Lake Mburo.

Private Group Safaris

Guided and led by Chris Higginson the majority of our private safaris are tailor-made to suit group travel in our overland truck. You may be looking at travelling with a group of friends, or your family and you have a special interest in wildlife or adventure activities.
